Agri-Women Network — WordPress Website Design for a Namibian Female Farmer Collective & Agricultural NGO

A mission-driven WordPress website for a Namibia-based collective empowering female farmers with market access, funding, training, and mentorship; built to grow membership, showcase service providers, and attract investment.

Timeline: 1-month project

The Agri-Women Network is a Namibia-based collective founded in 2022 to empower female farmers and aspiring agripreneurs with access to the resources they need to thrive: markets, funding, expertise, training, and peer support. Operated in partnership with Heiress Media and Communications, which provides strategic communications, branding, and organizational development support, the network is transitioning into a fully-fledged NGO. Its vision is to become the first point of contact for female farmers in Namibia seeking support, training, and access to local and international markets.

Elite IT Solutions designed and built a multi-page WordPress website that communicates the network’s mission, presents its five core service pillars, showcases trusted service provider partners, hosts events and investment opportunity listings, and drives membership sign-ups through a structured registration form. The site also reflects the network’s role as a platform business, connecting farmers to providers and buyers, rather than a simple information website.

Client/Context

Agri-Women Network is a Namibia-based female farmer collective supported by Heiress Media and Communications, transitioning into an NGO.

An organization at the critical early stage of building legitimacy and membership needed a website that could present its mission with authority, attract female farmers to join, and demonstrate value to potential investment partners and international market contacts.

Problem Statement

Without a professional website, the Agri-Women Network had no central platform to present its services, connect members with service providers, promote events, or attract the investment and market-access partnerships that would allow it to scale.

Key Pain Points

  • A newly established collective needed a website that communicated organisational legitimacy and mission clarity to attract members who would be sceptical of unproven networks
  • Multiple stakeholder types, female farmers seeking support, service providers wanting to list their expertise, and potential investors, each required different information and conversion pathways
  • Showcasing the trusted partner service providers (Hitangelao Fresh Produce, Ontoko Foods, Joicy The Farmer (Damianos Agribusiness Solutions) needed a directory-style structure within the site

We built a multi-page WordPress website with a homepage that leads with the network’s rallying statement, ‘Together, we grow stronger.’ And routes visitors to either join the network or explore service providers. The About section explains the collective’s mission in plain terms: bridging gaps for female farmers across Namibia by connecting them to markets, funding, expertise, and community.

A five-pillar services block, Market Access Support, Connect & Grow, Funding & Grants, Training & Workshops, and Mentorship & Growth, presents each offering with its own expand-for-details popup, giving visitors a comprehensive picture of the support available. The Service Providers section functions as a directory, profiling partner organizations with descriptions and View Profile popups. Events and Investment Opportunities have their own pages, serving the network’s ambitions beyond basic farmer support. A structured membership registration form, capturing name, email, phone, region, farm type, experience level, and areas of interest, connects to the JoinIt membership management system.

The Agri-Women Network now has a professional website that serves as the digital home for Namibia’s female farming community, from first-time visitors learning about the network through to farmers registering for membership, service providers listing their expertise, and investors exploring agricultural opportunities. The site supports the organization’s NGO transition by presenting it with the credibility and structure that institutional partners and funders expect.
