A slow, story-led Dutch-language WordPress website for a Flemish travel planner based in Morocco, built to attract quality-focused individual and corporate travellers who want a deeply personal, unhurried Moroccan experience.
Food Stories Morocco is a bespoke travel planning service run by Virginie, a Flemish travel planner who relocated to Morocco and builds deeply personal, custom-designed travel experiences for Dutch-speaking individual travellers and corporate teams. Her philosophy is explicitly unhurried: she doesn’t design trips for ticking boxes, but for immersing. Virginie works with carefully vetted local partners, serves as a single consistent point of contact, and handles all planning and coordination so travellers can be fully present during their time in Morocco. A secondary offer, team travel (teamreizen) for companies valuing quality, calm, and alignment, runs alongside the individual travel service.

In a travel market saturated with package tour operators and booking platforms, Food Stories Morocco needed a website that could communicate, in the Belgian/Dutch market’s own language, why a curated, relationship-based, locally grounded travel experience is worth choosing over efficiency-first alternatives.
Without a website that communicated Virginie’s philosophy, local presence in Morocco, and bespoke working method in a way that resonated with her target audience, Food Stories Morocco was unable to attract the right clients, those who value depth and meaning over itinerary efficiency.
We built a multi-page Dutch-language WordPress website that opens with Virginie’s own truth: ‘Morocco doesn’t show itself when you rush through it.’ Every section of the site is written in the first person, in Virginie’s voice, creating the impression of a direct conversation rather than a brand presentation.
The homepage walks visitors through Virginie’s role, her three-step working method (conversation, design, travel with confidence), and the Food Stories Morocco story, how a personal relocation became a way of connecting people to Morocco authentically. A “This Is For You” section explicitly names the right client: someone who values depth over quantity, guidance without imposed pace, and curiosity about the Morocco that reveals itself only when you slow down. A clear disqualifier for efficiency-focused travelers is included, rare in travel marketing and a powerful trust signal for those who stay.
Team Travel (Teamreizen) has its own dedicated page, separating corporate and individual messaging. A Blog, Instagram feed, Reisinspiratie (travel inspiration), Marrakech experiences, and day trips from Marrakech complete the site’s depth.
Food Stories Morocco now has a website that works as a qualification filter as much as a marketing tool, attracting the exact type of traveler Virginie designs for and preemptively declining those who aren’t a good match. The Dutch-language, first-person voice builds immediate personal connection, the philosophy-led structure earns trust before any service is described, and the team travel page opens a second revenue stream for corporate clients who share the same values.
