ROAR Salon, WordPress Website Design for a US Downtown Austin Premier Hair Salon

A premium, artist-led WordPress website for a 15-year Downtown Austin hair salon on Rainey Street, featuring stylists with fashion week and celebrity experience, Kerastase services, and a transparent full-service pricing menu.

Timeline: 1-month project

ROAR Salon is a 15-year Downtown Austin institution for hair, tucked into the cherished Rainey Street District and led by owner and master colorist Rory McNeill. The salon’s stylists bring backgrounds from fashion capitals including Chicago, LA, New York, and London, with credits spanning New York and London Fashion Week, celebrity editorial work, TV, film, magazine covers, and award shows. The service menu covers women’s, men’s, bridal, and Kerastase-tier cuts and blow-dries, tint and balayage color, partial and full highlights, gloss and corrective color, Kerastase Fusio Dos treatments, and hair extensions (consultation-based).

Elite IT Solutions built a premium, artist-led WordPress website that matches the salon’s elevated positioning. The homepage opens with a rotating hashtag Roargeous visual sequence, a confident Welcome to Roar Salon narrative, and an immediate scroll-down anchor into the About block.

Dedicated pages for Artists (individual stylist bios including Rory McNeill, Jessica Harman, and Pepper Pastor), Products, Commitment, Contact Us, and Careers give each audience (booking client, product buyer, potential hire, press) a clear path. Full Cut and Style and Color and Extensions pricing menus are published directly on the homepage, with every service linking to booking.

Client

ROAR Salon, a US Downtown Austin premier hair salon founded by owner and master colorist Rory McNeill, located in the Rainey Street District, with stylists trained in fashion capitals (Chicago, LA, New York, London) and credits spanning New York and London Fashion Week plus celebrity editorial, TV, and film.

Context

Premier hair salons face a specific web challenge, the site has to match the price point and carry the artistic credibility without feeling cold or exclusionary to walk-in clients. Fashion week credits and celebrity work need to be visible as credibility, not as distance. Pricing transparency reassures first-time clients who might otherwise assume the salon is out of reach.

Problem

ROAR Salon needed a WordPress website that could carry the premium artist-led positioning credibly (fashion week, celebrity work, Kerastase partnership), humanise the stylist team with individual bios, publish full pricing transparently to reassure first-time clients, and route every booking intent into the salon’s external booking system. The site also needed to support a Careers pathway for salon recruitment without diluting the client-facing experience.

Key Pain Points

  1. Carrying premium artist-led positioning (fashion week credits, celebrity work, Kerastase tier) credibly without making first-time clients feel the salon is out of reach
  2. Humanising the stylist team through individual bios while keeping the unified ROAR brand voice across every stylist page
  3. Publishing full Cut and Style and Color and Extensions pricing transparently without the homepage reading as a pricing document rather than a premium salon experience

We delivered a premium WordPress website that treats artist credibility and client warmth as equals. The homepage opens with a rotating hashtag Roargeous visual sequence showing real client work, a scroll-down anchor into the About block, and a clear Welcome narrative that positions ROAR as Downtown Austin’s institution for hair without any distance in the tone. A Commitment block from owner Rory McNeill humanises the premium positioning (“everyone deserves a fabulous haircut, style, and color that makes them feel confident”), followed by a credibility stats row (fashion shows, worldwide customers, award winners, hairstyles).

A Reviews and Press carousel surfaces real editorial coverage, and an individual stylist team section introduces Rory McNeill (master colorist, owner), Jessica Harman (hairstylist and bridal expert), and Pepper Pastor (master haircutting and extensions), with See My Services links per stylist. Full Cut and Style and Color and Extensions pricing menus are published directly (Women’s Haircut $80+, Kerastase Cut $105+, Balayage $235+, Tint and Highlight $200+, Kerastase Fusio Dos Treatment $45, Extensions consultation-based), with clear Book Now CTAs routing into the salon’s booking flow.

Six authentic five-star testimonials span colorist, cutting, and stylist-specific reviews, and dedicated Artists, Products, Commitment, Contact, and Careers pages give every audience a clear path. The build is fully responsive and structured to stay current as the team evolves.

ROAR Salon now has a premium WordPress website that carries 15 years of Downtown Austin credibility and fashion week stylist backgrounds without any distance in tone, humanises the stylist team through individual bios, and publishes full Cut and Style and Color and Extensions pricing transparently. The Rainey Street District location is surfaced as a brand asset, and the site is structured to grow as Rory adds new team members and service tiers.
