WE’RE PLANTING FOR OUR LIVES
Treedom for Palestine is a nonprofit organization partnering with the Palestinian Farmers Union to plant Freedom Farms, sustainable olive groves across the West Bank that restore food security, income, and dignity to Palestinian farming families. Each Freedom Farm consists of 250 olive trees, short-term crops, steel fencing, and drip irrigation, with a yield that can generate substantial annual household income. Half of all farms are planted for women. With over 75 Freedom Farms already thriving across the West Bank, the organization’s three programs, Freedom Farming, Her Harvest (women-focused), and Gaza Grows Here, reflect a comprehensive approach to agricultural resilience.
Elite IT Solutions designed and built a multi-page WordPress website that communicates the organization’s mission with emotional urgency, presents the Freedom Farm model transparently, and drives donations through a structured Donate page and email list (‘The Treevolution’) sign-up.
Treedom for Palestine is a Palestinian agricultural relief nonprofit partnering with the Palestinian Farmers Union to plant olive farms across the West Bank.
Reaching a global donor audience skeptical of aid-model charities required a website that distinguished Treedom’s independence-focused approach, “We don’t deliver aid. We plant independence,” clearly and compellingly from traditional relief organizations.
Without a website that communicated the structural impact of the Freedom Farm model with transparency and emotional resonance, Treedom for Palestine was unable to convert the sympathy of a global audience into the specific donor action of funding an olive grove.
We built a multi-page WordPress website that opens with the organization’s rallying cry: “We’re Planting for Our Lives.” A “Why Now” section grounds the urgency in three facts: Gaza’s devastation, 500,000 West Bank families in poverty, and record food insecurity, followed immediately by the organization’s differentiating statement: “We don’t deliver aid. We plant independence.”
A How Freedom Farms Work section presents the farm components, 250 olive trees, short-term crops, steel fencing, drip irrigation as a clear, transparent model with an income figure, giving donors a concrete picture of what their gift funds. A Grow Palestine’s Future section references the 75+ active Freedom Farms and frames the appeal: “After the hardest season in memory, it’s time to rebuild, tree by tree, farm by farm.”
Three programme pages, Freedom Farming, Her Harvest, and Gaza Grows Here, each expand the specific context and approach of that initiative. A newsletter sign-up under “Join The Treevolution” grows the organisation’s direct donor communication list. An Impact Report PDF link adds transparency and accountability for major donors.
Treedom for Palestine now has a website that leads with a genuinely distinctive humanitarian proposition and backs it with transparency, program depth, and a clear path to donation. The Freedom Farm model is explained clearly enough for donors to understand and share what they are funding, and the three program pages allow the organization to reach donors motivated by different aspects of Palestinian agricultural resilience, from general farming to women’s empowerment to Gaza-specific recovery.
